Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Field IT Engineer to ensure effective IT operations at field locations, coordinating IT-related activities and aligning with business objectives. The role requires managing field infrastructure, providing Level 2 support, and communicating plans between IT management and field teams.

You will liaise with field staff, management, vendors, and Corporate IT to drive proactive cost-saving and efficiency initiatives, including hardware lifecycle tasks and Cisco VOIP

Qualifications

• 4 years of computer network experience.
• Experience with Cisco VOIP/UCCE.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective level two support for WANs, LANs, field servers and specific field applications.
• Act as liaison between field staff, management, vendors and Corporate IT.
• Identify, implement and report proactive solutions that provide cost savings and/or improve operational efficiencies at field locations.
• Participate in installation, replacement, disposal of field computer hardware.
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure at field locations.
• Troubleshoot and administer Cisco VOIP phone system installations including user add, changes and moves.
