Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Field IT Engineer to ensure effective IT operations at field locations and align with business objectives. You will plan, coordinate and implement IT activities and projects, liaising between field staff and Corporate IT to communicate plans and issues.

The role requires 2–4 years in decentralized IT support, Cisco VOIP/UCCE expertise, CCNA certification, and up to 75% travel within Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana, with remote work days on non-travel weeks.

Qualifications

• 4 years of computer network experience.
• Experience with Cisco VOIP/UCCE.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective level two support for WANs, LANs, field servers and specific field applications including on-call and on-site support/remediation as required.
• Act as an effective liaison between field staff, management, vendors and Corporate IT.
• Identify, implement and report proactive solutions that provide cost savings and/or improve operational efficiencies at field locations.
• Participate in the installation, replacement, disposal of field computer hardware.
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure at field locations.
• Troubleshoot and administer Cisco VOIP phone system installations including user add, changes and moves.
• Coordinate with 3rd party consultants as required.
• Build, maintain and manage strong vendor relationships to coordinate the delivery of IT services including cabling, hardware, software and other IT supplies.
• Provide timely reports on all activities as directed by management.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
