Westat, Inc. is seeking motivated Field Interviewers to conduct in-person interviews for the MEPS study, a national survey of health care costs and usage.

The role requires traveling to training in January 2027 and possible local and overnight travel to households across designated areas. The position is part-time with two data collection periods each year, and data is transmitted daily with required training and strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting in-person interviews or computer-assisted interviewing.
• Comfort engaging with households and obtaining cooperation for research studies.
• Ability to travel to training and field sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households, set appointments, and guide respondents through the interview process.
• Transmit data daily and complete administrative paperwork as required.
• Adhere to training and data security requirements and comply with project rules.
