Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS study to collect data on health care costs and usage nationwide. This part-time position involves in-person interviews, travel to assigned households, and completing administrative paperwork with daily data transmission.

Training is conducted in January 2027, with intermittent rounds through December 2030. Candidates should be 18+, have a reliable vehicle, be able to lift 20 pounds, and work evenings/weekends when requested.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to enter confidentiality agreements.
• Available to complete mandatory web-based and in-person training in January 2027.
• Willing to travel to training and to local/long-distance households, including overnight travel.
• Must have a current, valid driver's license and a privately insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person interviews with adult household members for MEPS.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect signed documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily and maintain required data security.
