Job summary

Westat is seeking motivated Field Interviewers to support MEPS, a nationwide study of health care costs and usage. You will conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adult household members, recruit participants, schedule visits, and collect data.

This part-time, year-round role requires travel to local and occasional long-distance households, with January 2027 training and daily data transmission. Overtime eligible; health insurance eligibility may require 1560 hours.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Be available for mandatory web-based home study training in January 2027.
• Able to travel for in-person and training sessions, including overnight travel when required.
• Must be able to work with limited daytime hours depending on caseload.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in sampled households.
• Contact households, set appointments, and complete interviews and paperwork.
• Transmit data daily on workdays and comply with data security requirements.
• Travel to MEPS training in January 2027 and may travel to local or long-distance households.
• Support data collection through two annual rounds and accommodate schedule breaks between rounds.
