Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time Field Interviewers to work on the NSDUH, a long-running government-sponsored study on health-related behaviors in the United States. As a field interviewer you will contact households, conduct interviews, and encourage participation, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Travel and device use provided; wage is $21 per hour plus a $4.98 per hour health/welfare stipend.

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• Effective communication skills through speech and listening.
• Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking.
• Available for entire training and data collection period.
• Able to successfully complete training.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal automobile for business use.
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop and other equipment.
• Access to password-protected Wi-Fi for data transmissions and administrative responsibilities.
• Able to keep project information confidential.
• Willingness to work in various types of weather conditions and after dark.
• Maintain regular access to a computer with webcam or internet-enabled device for training and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Contact households and conduct interviews for NSDUH.
• Recruit participants and discuss the study purpose.
• Adhere to field supervisor schedule for contact times.
• Administer computer-assisted interviews and handle data securely.
• Travel to locations and manage field equipment.
