Job summary

Westat is seeking motivated Field Interviewers for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS). This part-time role involves in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults, traveling to households, and completing required paperwork.

You will undergo mandatory web-based training in early January 2027, with in-person training January 19–25, 2027, and subsequent online trainings. Some travel and overtime may be required, with data transmitted daily on working days.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with the ability to enter binding confidentiality agreements.
• Available to complete mandatory web-based home study training between January 4 and January 15, 2027.
• Available to travel to and attend mandatory in-person training (January 19–25, 2027).
• Available to complete additional mandatory web-based and virtual training after in-person training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households in-person and/or by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete the interview, and collect and follow up with signed documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily on days worked.
• Maintain data security and confidentiality requirements.
