Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers in the Houston area to conduct MEPS interviews, using in-person and computer-assisted video interviewing. The role includes contacting households, scheduling visits, completing interviews, and managing electronic and hard-copy documentation.

The position is part-time with two data collection periods each year and requires travel, including occasional overnight stays. Training begins in January 2027, with ongoing data collection through 2030.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Complete mandatory web-based home study and Teams sessions between specified dates.
• Travel to in-person training and possible long-distance travel.
• Complete post-training home study as required.

Responsibilities

• Contact households in-person and by phone to arrange and conduct interviews.
• Transmit electronic data daily on workdays and complete paperwork.
• Adhere to data security and confidentiality requirements.
