Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers to support MEPS data collection across two annual rounds in the United States. Interviewers contact households, conduct interviews (in-person or computer-assisted video), and manage data transmission daily.

Training starts with mandatory in-person sessions in January 2027, with occasional local or overnight travel. The role is part-time with variable hours, primarily evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to enter confidentiality agreements.
• Willing to complete required web-based training and Teams sessions.
• Able to travel for in-person training and occasional field travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person or computer-assisted interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households by phone or in person to gain cooperation and schedule interviews.
• Transmit electronic data daily during work days and complete administrative paperwork.
• Work part-time across two data-collection periods and meet travel requirements.
