Job summary

Westat, Inc. seeks Field Interviewers to conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews for MEPS, a federal study on health care costs and usage. You will contact households, schedule and complete interviews, and collect signed documents.

This is a part-time, yearly role with two data collection periods and travel to training; overtime is possible. Training in January 2027 is mandatory, with further training post‑offer.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older or emancipated minor with ability to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Available for mandatory web-based training between Jan 4 and Jan 15, 2027.
• Available to travel to and attend mandatory in-person training Jan 19–25, 2027.
• Willing to complete additional training activities after in-person training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person interviews and computer-assisted video interviews with households.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect signed documents.
• Transmit data daily and comply with data security requirements.
