Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers to conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews for MEPS, a national health care costs and usage survey. Interviewers will travel to households, set appointments, and collect interview data with Westat-provided equipment.

Training in January 2027 is mandatory, with long-term travel requirements. The role is part-time with two data collection periods annually, and requires flexibility in schedule, data security compliance, and occasional overnight

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with ability to enter binding confidentiality agreements to protect project information.
• Available to complete mandatory web-based home study training between January 4 and January 15, 2027.
• Available to travel to and attend mandatory in-person training in January 2027.
• Be available to complete additional training activities after in-person training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households in-person or by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect and follow up with signed documents.
