Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Property Survey Specialist to conduct virtual and onsite inspections of high value homes and commercial properties, assess risks, and generate replacement cost estimates. The role emphasizes professional interaction with agents, policyholders, and stakeholders while meeting monthly survey production goals.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, strong analytical abilities, and experience with risk assessment, cost estimation, and documentation. Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual and onsite inspections of high value homes and small businesses for personal and commercial lines insurance companies
• Analyze replacement cost value and assess risk
• Demonstrate professionalism and expertise to agents, policyholders, business assistants, and other stakeholders
• Complete the requisite number of surveys each month to achieve personal revenue production goals
• Complete other special projects as assigned by the manager
• Conduct property surveys on high value homes, documenting construction materials, workmanship, and special features
• Determine home square footage through detailed measurements or available building plans
• Generate replacement cost estimates using industry calculators, EXL resources, and personal findings
• Assess physical, liability, wildfire, hurricane, and other natural hazards; document hazards and recommend risk improvements
• Conduct underwriting surveys and loss control assessments on commercial businesses
• Evaluate Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, and Auto/Fleet risks
• Discuss safety culture, loss history, risk management controls, and safety program maturity with business owners
• Complete detailed survey reports with narrative assessments
