Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction/Operations/Maintenance Inspector to monitor activities at MSFC-based projects in Huntsville, AL. The role ensures conformance with contract drawings, specifications, and NASA MSFC standards.

200 hours of site exposure and detailed reports are expected daily. The candidate should have a high school diploma, 3+ years of inspection experience, and familiarity with HVAC/electrical trades.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Construction Management degree is a plus.
• 3+ years of applicable inspection experience preferred.
• HVAC journeyman or master experience valued; electrician experience a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs and O&M manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and surveil construction, operations, maintenance, and repair to NASA MSFC standards.
• Review submittals for accuracy and monitor with Procore and other tools.
• Evaluate contractor requests for progress payments.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and track schedule progress.
• Generate site inspection reports and maintain filing systems.
• Monitor RFIs, contract amendments, notices, changes, and other docs.
• Assist in pre-final/final inspections and punch lists before payment.
• Review as-built drawings for discrepancies and request corrections.
• Review O&M manuals and provide comment on completeness.
• Maintain productive working relationships with clients and team.
