Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Hydraulic Shovel Technician in the field to diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic mining equipment. You will work with shovels, drills, and excavators, ensuring reliability and safety while minimizing downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with vocational training in heavy equipment mechanics and 3–5 years of experience. A CDL or MSHA certification is a plus; shifts may include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Vocational or technical training in heavy equipment mechanics is highly preferred.
• 3–5 years of proven experience maintaining and repairing large hydraulic mining or construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Advanced diagnostics on hydraulic and electrical systems; identify leaks, failures, faults.
• Dismantle, repair, and replace hydraulic components to manufacturer specs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, lubrication, wear analysis to prevent breakdowns.
• Interpret hydraulic schematics and manuals to guide tasks safely.
• Maintain maintenance records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
