Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Shovel Technician to join our field maintenance team in mining operations.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems on heavy equipment such as shovels, drills, and excavators, with focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring safety. The role requires strong reading of schematics, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with supervisors and engineers to implement reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of vocational or technical training in heavy equipment mechanics is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Dismantle, repair, and replace hydraulic components per specs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and lubrication routines.
• Interpret hydraulic schematics, manuals, and diagrams.
• Adhere to safety protocols including LOTO and OSHA/MSHA rules.
• Maintain maintenance records for lifecycle tracking.
