Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Hydraulic Shovel Technician to join our field maintenance team in the United States. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic systems for mining equipment including shovels, drills, and excavators.

You will help minimize downtime and promote safe, reliable operations. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on experience with hydraulic mining equipment, strong electrical and mechanical skills, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training in heavy equipment hydraulics is highly preferred.
• Experience with large hydraulic mining or construction equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on hydraulic and electrical systems to identify leaks, faults, or failures.
• Dismantle, repair, and replace hydraulic components to meet manufacturer specs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and lubrication to prevent breakdowns.
• Interpret hydraulic schematics and manuals to guide repairs safely.
• Maintain maintenance records and comply with safety protocols.
