Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Shovel Technician to join our field maintenance team supporting mining operations. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, shovels, drills, and excavators to keep fleets productive and safe.

Responsibilities include advanced diagnostics, hydraulic maintenance, preventive care, and accurate documentation. Must uphold Lockout/Tagout procedures, OSHA/MSHA standards, and operate with a strong safety mindset in a demanding outdoor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/technical training in heavy equipment mechanics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advanced diagnostics & troubleshooting of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Hydraulic component maintenance: pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, hoses.
• Preventative care and wear analysis to prevent breakdowns.
• Interpret hydraulic schematics and manuals for safe repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with safety standards.
• Collaborate with team to diagnose issues and improve equipment reliability.
• Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
