Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field service technician to commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems at customer locations. You will use your knowledge of air conditioning theory and mechanical layouts to diagnose and service equipment on-site.

The role requires 5+ years in HVAC, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license; technical training is preferred. Compensation includes health insurance, 401K match, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; typically 5+ years HVAC experience.
• Technical School or formal training preferred.
• Microsoft Office familiarity; handheld device proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license for 12+ months; clean driving record.
• EPA Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
• Serve as the direct customer contact; diagnose and repair equipment at the customer site.
• Use cutting-edge software and tools to diagnose and repair units per blueprints or specifications.
• Possibly work overtime, weekends, and overnight stays as needed.
• Enforce safety standards and manage company assets on site.
