Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks an HVAC field service technician to perform end-to-end testing, startup, commissioning and servicing at customer sites. You will act as the primary company representative, diagnose and repair equipment, and coordinate with clients to ensure smooth on-site installations and repairs.

The role requires 2–5 years in commercial HVAC, proficiency with MS Office and handheld devices, and a valid driver’s license. EPA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial HVAC required.
• Proficient in MS Office; comfortable with handheld devices (smartphone/tablet).
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with clean record.
• EPA Certification preferred (e.g. HVAC journeyman, boiler operator, gas installer).

Responsibilities

• End-to-end testing, startup, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and service products at customer locations or rental depots.
• Coordinate with team leader and customers to understand on-site installation/repair requirements.
• Use blueprints/engineering specs and tools to diagnose and repair units.
• Maintain safety standards and document asset usage and condition.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including overnight stays, as required.
