Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United States is seeking an on-site HVAC technician to service commercial customers. You will commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems at customer facilities, using your knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and typically 5+ years of HVAC experience, EPA certification, and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, and typically 5 plus years of experience in HVAC.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with few traffic violations in the last 3 years.
• EPA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
• Serve as direct customer contact for on-site equipment and ensure satisfaction.
• Use blueprints or specifications to diagnose and repair units.
• Work overtime and occasional overnight stays as needed.
• Maintain safety and accountability of assets on site.
