Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based HVAC service technician to commission, troubleshoot, repair, and startup HVAC systems at customer locations. You will use your knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts to service diverse commercial clients.

Role requires 5+ years in HVAC, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license; you will work on-site at customer facilities and may require overtime or overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; typically 5+ years of HVAC experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; comfortable with handheld computers/devices.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for 12+ months with clean driving history.
• EPA Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand on-site installation and repair requirements.
• Serve as the direct customer contact, manage equipment on assigned projects, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use blueprints/engineering specs and tools to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
• Be flexible to work overtime/weekends, including occasional overnight stays.
• Enforce safety standards and manage company assets.
