Job summary

Trane Technologies, a leader in climate solutions, seeks a field-based HVAC technician in the United States (Birmingham area). You will start and commission new systems, diagnose and repair environmental-control equipment leveraging HVAC/Controls knowledge.

You will be the customer contact on-site, coordinating with the team to ensure accurate installation and service. A HS diploma and 3–5 years of experience are typical; a company vehicle and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; typically 3–5 years in Commercial HVAC/Controls.
• Technical School or formal training preferred.
• EPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Start and commission new systems; diagnose and repair environmental-control systems.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and service products on assigned projects.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand on-site installation and repair requirements.
• Maintain safety standards and protect company assets; be flexible for overtime and some travel.
