Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. seeks an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1. This remote role requires heavy travel to various job sites including substations, BESS, and PV facilities.

You will execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair activities with a focus on safety and quality, while producing detailed reports. Qualified candidates have 1–3 years as a testing electrician, strong English communication, and the ability to work remotely in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Hazard recognition and mitigation using proper tools and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.
• On-call work including weekends or after-hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure safe working environment by adhering to safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review complete test reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Supervise technicians and trainees as needed.
• Maintain SOLV Energy safety and inclusion culture.
