Job summary

Circle K is seeking an HR professional to manage store-level recruitment, employee relations, and compliance across a dynamic retail environment. You will attend client meetings, prepare presentations, and coach managers and staff on policies, performance expectations, and legal requirements.

The role emphasizes field-based work (approximately 60%), strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.
• Two to five years of experience in HR.
• Computer literate in MS Office and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains relationships by understanding strategies and operations; attends client meetings and prepares presentations.
• Coaches and counsels employees; communicates values, strategies and objectives; monitors job results.
• Identifies diversity issues; coaches clients during hiring and provides training.
• Responds to employment-related actions by investigations and documentation with legal counsel.
• Investigates complaints; provides guidance and possible actions to resolve issues.
• Maintains confidentiality to protect operations.
• Ensures compliance with policies and laws; advises management on actions needed.
• Reviews laws and audits compliance; renders opinions and actions.
• Represents the organization with government representatives; attends hearings or mediation.
• Maintains professional knowledge via workshops and publications; networks with professionals.
• Contributes to team effort and sourcing for store roles; develops candidate pipelines.
• Reviews resumes, conducts phone screens, and coordinates interviews for store candidates.
• Ensures recruitment compliance; collaborates with RODs, Market Managers, Hiring Managers, Training Manager.
• Able to work independently with accountability and strong communication.
• Able to multitask and adapt to changing business needs.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, good judgment, and sense of urgency.
• 60% field-based work time with travel and overnight stays possible.
