Job summary

Circle K seeks a Legal Counsel, Labor & Employment, USA to support nationwide labor and employment matters, working with HR and the legal team. This onsite role involves advising on investigations, compliance, and policy updates across the country.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in labor and employment law, U.S. bar admission, and strong drafting and communication skills to partner with business teams.

Qualifications

• Bar admission and license to practice law in the U.S., member in good standing.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably in a large firm.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with active U.S. bar status.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical and sound legal advice on a wide range of employment law issues and HR support.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers to develop company-wide employment best practices and ensure compliance.
• Support high-level transactions, reductions-in-force, and contingent workforce issues.
• Draft contracts, policies, onboarding and offboarding documents.
• Develop and deliver training for HR and management on labor and employment topics.
• Advise on investigations, compliance updates, and responses to claims and audits.
• Coordinate with local counsel for employment litigation and policy updates.
