Job summary

City of Miami seeks an experienced outreach coordination professional to support services for individuals experiencing homelessness. The role includes staff supervision, field coordination, and collaboration with housing providers, hospitals, and community agencies to stabilize housing and ensure service delivery.

The incumbent will conduct client intake, engagement, and service planning while maintaining records and preparing program reports.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 60 college credits in Social Sciences or related field.
• Experience in homeless services, housing programs, behavioral health or outreach.
• Supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Train staff on procedures to ensure quality customer service and accurate information.
• Coordinate outreach operations, encampment concerns, and service planning with partners.
• Conduct client intake, engagement, housing navigation, and service coordination to support housing stabilization.
• Monitor service activities for compliance and prepare program reports.
• Respond to urgent field situations and work across varied shifts, including nights, holidays and weekends.

Education

60 college credits in Social Sciences or related field

2+ years homeless services/related field

1 year supervisory experience
