Job summary

City of Miami is seeking a responsible clerical and field-based coordinator to support homeless outreach operations, referral and placement activities, and documentation.

You will screen for placement eligibility, manage bed inventories, coordinate referrals to community resources, and ensure accurate HMIS records. Requires a high school diploma and 2 years in service coordination or related work; valid Florida driver's license; willingness to work nights, holidays, weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with 2 years of relevant experience in service coordination or homeless outreach.
• Experience with homelessness or vulnerable populations preferred.
• Ability to work in field and office settings with independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referral and placement workflow activities for outreach operations.
• Screen individuals for placement eligibility and determine appropriate housing linkages.
• Maintain daily shelter bed inventory and ensure equitable allocation.
• Enter and maintain client information in HMIS and other systems.
• Prepare referral documentation and operational reports on service coordination.
• Work flexible shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends.
