Job summary

City of Miami is seeking staff for advanced professional outreach and service coordination focused on housing stabilization and encampment response. The role involves coordinating with internal staff, government agencies, housing and healthcare providers, and community organizations to deliver services to individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

The incumbent will train staff, monitor field operations, maintain records, and assist with program reporting.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 60 college credits in Social Sciences or a related field and two years of experience in homeless services, housing programs, behavioral health services, outreach programs, or related human service settings and one year supervisory experience.
• Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or other vulnerable populations is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond a high school diploma or its equivalent and one year of the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outreach and service planning with staff, governmental agencies, housing and healthcare providers, and community partners.
• Train staff and monitor field operations for quality and compliance.
• Maintain client records and support housing stabilization efforts.
• Respond to encampment concerns and ensure timely field responses.
• Assist with follow-up activities related to placements, services, and discharge planning.
