Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Construction Field Support to install, configure, and maintain GPS machine control systems on heavy equipment. The role includes field diagnostics, training operators, and coordinating with project teams across diverse job sites.

The position requires extensive travel (about 75%), hands-on problem solving, and strict adherence to safety procedures. It is based in Pasadena, CA, with a high level of on-site activity and customer interaction.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, configuring, and calibrating GPS machine control systems on heavy equipment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting with mechanical, electrical, and sensor components in a field setting.
• Proficiency with GPS platforms such as Trimble, Topcon, or Leica.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate GPS machine control systems on heavy equipment to meet specs.
• Perform site localizations (base and rover) for accurate references.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, sensor, and software issues in real time.
• Train operators and site personnel on hardware, software, and machine guidance systems.
• Document installations, service activities, and troubleshooting steps clearly.
