Job summary

Topcon Positioning Group is seeking a field-based technician to install and service machine control systems on heavy equipment, with extensive travel and home weekends.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy working outdoors, and can learn new technology quickly. The role offers paid training, growth into senior technician or trainer roles, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school preferred.
• Field experience with heavy equipment or construction machinery preferred.
• Experience with machine control installations is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Install and service Topcon Machine Control systems on dozers, graders, excavators, and other equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, hydraulic, and electronic systems to improve accuracy.
• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support via on-site visits, phone, email, or remote tools.
• Represent the company professionally at customer job sites and build long-term relationships.
• Work outdoors in varied conditions and travel as needed.
