Job summary

Taylor Sudden Service is seeking a field service technician to diagnose, repair, and service diesel and gas engines and gensets at customer sites. You will work with parts and service teams to ensure machines are operating reliably and safely.

The role requires electrical knowledge, ability to read diagrams, and a willingness to travel and stay on-call as needed. A valid driver's license and physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with diesel and/or gas engines.
• Electrical knowledge and ability to read diagrams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.
• On-call 24/7 availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan effective work and travel schedule with Service Manager.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair or replace parts; install new assemblies and adjust controls.
• Provide tools, parts, and arrange facilities for on-site repair work.
• Inspect, operate, and test machines after repair to ensure proper functioning.
• Complete work orders and related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Promote company's image by maintaining a neat appearance and vehicle.
• Mentor/train junior servicemen on large repair projects.
