Job summary

Taylor Sudden Service (SSI) in West Memphis, AR is seeking a field service technician to perform generator set maintenance and on-site repairs for customers. You will plan service calls with the Service Manager, bring required tools and parts, and document work orders and inspections.

The role requires troubleshooting skills, diesel/gas engine experience, electrical knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• DOT certification; must be 21+ to be DOT certified or eligible.
• Experience with diesel and/or gas engines including servicing/repair.
• Electrical knowledge and ability to read diagrams and wiring.

Responsibilities

• Consults with Service Manager to plan work and travel, prioritizing customer needs.
• Provides tools and parts and arranges for on-site repair services.
• Completes work orders, inspection reports and related paperwork promptly.
• Performs preventative maintenance on generator sets and tests ATS/ load banks.
• Maintains professional appearance and service truck condition.
• Other duties as assigned.
