Job summary

Taylor Sudden Service in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a Generator Technician BSSI-Fort Worth to diagnose, repair, and service diesel and gas engines on customer sites. You will plan travel with the Service Manager, test equipment, and ensure safe, functional operation of generators.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on generator experience, tool ownership, strong problem-solving, and communication skills to support customer needs and team projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience with diesel and/or gas engines.
• Electrical knowledge including wiring and circuits.
• AC/DC power generation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Consults with Service Manager to plan work and travel schedule.
• Diagnoses malfunctions; repairs and/or replaces worn parts; installs assemblies.
• Provides tools and arranges for on-site repair at customer premises.
• Inspects, operates, and tests machines on delivery and maintenance.
• Completes work orders and related paperwork promptly.
• Performs preventative maintenance on generator sets (fluids, filters, belts, hoses).
• Mentors or supervises servicemen on large repairs or projects.
• May require overnight stays and on-call coverage.
