Job summary

ACRT, Inc. seeks an energetic Consulting Utility Forester to identify, inspect, and evaluate trees along utility lines. You will coordinate line clearance crews, discuss access, and liaise with clients and crews to ensure high performance and safety.

Requirements include forestry or related degree (or related experience with a GED), GIS familiarity, and a valid driver's license. Position is based in Colorado with a competitive hourly salary and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Two-year or four-year degree in Forestry, Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or related field OR high school diploma/GED plus two years related experience.
• Experience with GIS data collection software/hardware is preferred.
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in vegetation management preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines.
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
• Plan and coordinate activities of assigned tree clearance crews.
• Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues.
• Serve as liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers.
