Job summary

Asplundh in the United States is seeking a Foreperson to drive daily crew productivity, coordinate work, and enforce safety protocols on job sites. You will mentor crew members and collaborate with management on staffing needs and deadlines.

This role involves field training, maintaining records, coordinating with customers, and upholding OSHA standards. A CDL is required; competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task.
• Able to adapt to field requirements and operate independently.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight limits apply for certain equipment; capacity restrictions may exist.
• No fear of heights and willingness to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after orders.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies.
• Discusses access and work scope with property owners; refers complex cases upward.
• Obtains permission to perform required work from owners.
• Maintains good customer relations through effective completion of work.
• Keeps records, timesheets, and reports for crew operations.
• Controls crew costs and resource usage.
• Reports completed work, crew time, and incidents to management.
• Cooperates with authorities during street or driveway closures.
• Sets up barriers and safety measures to protect workers and public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools and equipment.
• Ensures DOT maintenance and inspection requirements on vehicles.
• Keeps informed on equipment, procedures, and company policies.
