Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a Foreperson to lead daily field operations, coordinate crew work, training, and safety protocols in alignment with management goals. The role includes troubleshooting site issues, supervising employees and contractors, and maintaining records of work performed.

The Foreperson will recruit and mentor crew, enforce safety standards per OSHA, and communicate with property owners to secure access and resolve incidents. CDL is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Understanding drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to adapt to field requirements with minimal supervision.
• Must safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Ability to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight of employee should not exceed approximately 300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after orders.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew members.
• Enforces safety practices per policy and OSHA guidelines.
• Communicates with property owners about access, interruptions, and work scope.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform work.
• Maintains customer relations and manages crew behavior on site.
• Investigates incidents and minor damage claims when needed.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and crew reports.
• Controls crew costs and efficient use of resources.
• Provides reports on orders, work units, and crew performance.
• Furnishes reports on incidents and equipment issues.
• Cooperates with authorities when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up safety barriers and protects workers and public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools and equipment.
• Maintains truck and work area housekeeping.
• Handles DOT maintenance and inspections for required vehicles.
