Job summary

Burford's Construction seeks a General Foreman to lead multiple crews on landscape and vegetation projects. You will plan ahead, ensure safe, timely completion, and liaise with customers about project needs and issues.

You will supervise six to eight crews, read engineering drawings, and coordinate scheduling while maintaining records and ensuring PPE compliance. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience required in line clearance or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent work ethic; ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
• Valid driver's license; CDL strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to read/write and communicate effectively.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.
• Must understand safety rules and PPE and apply them.

Responsibilities

• Supervise between six and eight crews and coordinate their work.
• Efficiently schedule crews and assign tasks.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ensure crew safety and enforce company PPE policies.
• Maintain records and paperwork; coordinate inspections.
• Communicate with customers about project status and issues.
• Lead, train, and coach team members in pruning techniques.
• Travel as needed to job sites; adapt to schedules.
