Job summary

Burford's Construction is seeking a working foreman with proven leadership to manage field crews, enforce safety standards, and coordinate daily activities for vegetation management and line clearance tasks. The role involves direct supervision, training, and ensuring adherence to schedules while maintaining strong customer relations.

The candidate will supervise pruning operations, monitor safety practices, and assist in coordinating storm restoration efforts as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be safety conscious.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Spanish/English bilingual is a plus.
• Must have leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safe working practices following company policies and procedures.
• Schedule crews and assign their work.
• Maintain necessary records (written and computer records).
• Lead, train, and coach team members on pruning techniques.
• Readily join storm restoration efforts in times of need.
• Ensure crew members carry out work as planned.
• Inspect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and equipment.
• Communicate with customers about project issues, concerns, explanations, and techniques to be used.
