Job summary

Burford’s Construction is seeking an experienced Foreman A to lead a vegetation management crew on line clearance projects. The role focuses on scheduling crews, enforcing safety, training staff, and maintaining records in the field.

You will communicate with customers and ensure work aligns with company procedures. A high school diploma is required; English proficiency is essential, and a CDL is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years previous experience in a foreman/lead role.
• Able to read/write and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL strongly preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Must be safety conscious and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safe working practices following company policies and procedures.
• Schedule crews and assign their work efficiently.
• Maintain records (written and computer records).
• Lead, train, and coach team members on pruning techniques.
• Lead storm restoration efforts when needed.
• Maintain good customer and public relations and communicate project details.
• Inspect PPE and equipment and ensure crew compliance with safety rules.
• Coordinate and inspect the work of crew members and ensure adherence to plans.
• Maintain company vehicles and tools in good working order.
• Readily adapt to changes in plans and schedules.
