Job summary

Burford’s Construction LLC seeks a working foreman with proven leadership to supervise crews in vegetation management and line clearance operations. You will enforce safety rules, schedule and coordinate daily work, and maintain records while communicating with customers and owners.

You will train and coach team members on pruning techniques, operate equipment safely, and participate in storm restoration efforts as needed. High school diploma and a valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant foreman/leadership experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commercial Driver’s License is strongly preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Must be safety conscious.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Broad knowledge of climbing skills and line clearance operations.
• Thorough knowledge of pruning techniques (natural and directional).

• Work safely while performing the task at hand.
• Schedule crews efficiently and assign their work.
• Maintain necessary records (written and computer records).
• Assist fellow workers in meeting project objectives.
• Maintain good customer and public relations.
• Communicate with customers about project issues, concerns, and procedures.
• Lead, train, and coach team members on pruning techniques.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely.
• Assist in safety checks in vegetation management and cleaning.
• Join storm restoration efforts when needed.
• Ensure crew members carry out work as planned.
• Adapt quickly to changes in plans and schedules.
• Adhere to the Line Clearance Contract with the Owner.
• Inspect PPE and equipment; maintain tools and vehicles.
