Job summary

Direct Communications is seeking a field technician for the Outside Fiber Plant team in Soda Springs. You will bridge our high-tech network with customers, provisioning internet and telephone services and troubleshooting complex issues to keep subscribers connected.

You will monitor systems, anticipate service problems, and stay current on evolving technologies such as outdoor Wi-Fi and managed routers. This hybrid role requires working Tuesday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting telecommunications, internet technology, systems, and hardware.
• 2+ years of experience with fiber, DSL, and landline services preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provision subscriber internet and telephone services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve higher-level service and hardware issues (Tier 2) for landlines, fiber, DSL, and cable internet.
• Monitor systems to identify potential service issues and proactively contact customers.
• Stay current on cutting-edge technologies (outdoor Wi‑Fi, managed routers) and apply them to the business.
• Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday work week.
