Job summary

Spectrum's Fiber Technician I role involves locating and repairing fiber impairments in the field, inspecting fiber plant, and connecting new builds for residential and enterprise customers. You will work primarily independently while maintaining Spectrum’s fiber network to keep customers connected to our growing network.

The role requires a high school diploma, certifications (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E), and at least one year of maintenance experience; a valid driver's license and CWDM/DWDM knowledge

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Industry certifications (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E) or equivalent training.
• At least 1 year of maintenance tech or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and knowledge of CWDM/DWDM and fiber testing/splicing.

Responsibilities

• Locate and repair fiber impairments in the field.
• Inspect existing fiber plant and connect new builds for residential and enterprise customers.
• Maintain and improve Spectrum’s fiber network to keep customers connected.
• Work mainly independently with team support as needed.
• Adhere to safety and company policies in varying weather conditions.
