Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Fiber Technician I to locate and repair fiber impairments in the field, while inspecting existing fiber plant and connecting new builds for residential and enterprise customers. You’ll work primarily independently, with team support as needed, to maintain and improve Spectrum’s fiber network and keep customers connected.

The role requires a high school diploma and relevant certifications, plus at least 1 year of maintenance tech experience and knowledge of CWDM/DWDM, fiber

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; industry certifications preferred.
• At least 1 year of maintenance tech or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of fiber architectures, testing, splicing, CWDM/DWDM, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Locate and repair fiber impairments in the field.
• Inspect existing fiber plant and connect new builds for residential and enterprise customers.
• Work primarily in the field, independently with team support as needed.
