Job summary

FlexPak Inc. in Aurora, CO, is seeking an Equipment Service Technician to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain automated packaging equipment at customer sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, provide basic operating training, and manage service records to minimize downtime.

You’ll travel to customer locations, work hands-on with mechanical systems, and collaborate with sales and parts teams. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience as a mechanical technician or equivalent technical service experience.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations, including occasional overnight travel and factory training.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear, professional communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including climbing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, and repetitive hand movements; using tools and handling parts; and communicating and observing equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, repair, and service automated packaging equipment and tooling at customer locations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues using technical manuals and manufacturer resources.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain accurate work orders, service records, and parts‑order documentation.
• Communicate service outcomes and follow‑up needs to customers, the sales team, and business partners.
• Provide customers with basic equipment operating training.
• Build and maintain effective customer relationships through clear, professional communication.
• Source and order replacement parts for equipment.
• Maintain an organized inventory of parts and tools.
• Maintain a safe and organized workshop.
• Safely operate a company vehicle when traveling to customer locations.
• Attend factory training sessions and participate in occasional overnight travel for customer visits and training.
