Job summary

Veritiv is seeking an Equipment Service Technician to install, repair and startup packaging equipment at customer sites. The role involves following blueprints and manufacturer instructions, with emphasis on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems to ensure quality and production rates meet specs.

Responsibilities include repairs on stretch and shrink wrappers, case sealers, label printers, wiring and system troubleshooting, and providing product demonstrations and training as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics and how power flows through circuitry.
• Lockout/tagout and safety procedures knowledge.
• Read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair, maintenance and startup on packaging equipment at customer sites.
• Support systems integration with customers, manufacturers and service personnel.
• Conduct tests and troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Provide trainings and product demonstrations of Veritiv packaging systems.
• Generate quotes and estimates for preventative and planned maintenance.
• Complete field service work orders including billing travel, labor hours and parts.
