Job summary

Pape’ Rents in El Cajon, CA is seeking a Heavy Equipment Rental Field Technician/Mechanic to service material handling and construction equipment in the field. This role focuses on accurate and timely repairs to maximize uptime and support customer rentals.

You will travel in a fully equipped service vehicle, diagnose problems, and perform top‑notch repairs while maintaining clear communication with customers to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of JLG/Genie and other AWP equipment; able to diagnose and troubleshoot.
• Experience with electronic and hydraulic repairs; diesel and gas engines.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication and customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Work on field equipment, diagnosing and repairing material handling and construction gear to maximize uptime.
• Travel in a fully loaded service vehicle, interact with customers, and ensure timely, quality repairs.
