Job summary

Pape’ Material Handling, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Rental Field Technician/Mechanic to service and repair aerial and construction equipment in the Sacramento area.

You will operate in the field from a fully equipped service vehicle, diagnosing issues and performing repairs to keep customers’ gear running reliably. With 5+ years of field experience, you’ll handle electronic, hydraulic and engine repairs, lift up to 75 lbs, and maintain excellent communication with customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field diagnosing and repairing aerial/construction equipment.
• Experience with electronic and hydraulic repairs; diesel and gas engine repair.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 75lbs.
• Driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.

Responsibilities

• As a Rental Field Technician, you will work on material handling and construction equipment in the field ensuring repairs are done accurately and timely, maximizing equipment uptime.
• Travel within the region in a fully loaded service vehicle, performing high-quality work and interacting with customers to ensure satisfaction.
