Job summary

Pape’ Material Handling, Inc. is hiring a Heavy Equipment Rental Field Technician / Mechanic in Fremont, CA. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing material handling and construction equipment in the field, with travel across the service area in a fully equipped Pape’ vehicle.

You will troubleshoot electronic and hydraulic systems, perform engine repairs, and deliver top-tier customer service while helping maximize equipment uptime.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic and hydraulic repairs; diesel and gas engine repair.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot JLG/Genie and other AWP equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 75 lbs.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Repair field equipment in the rental fleet accurately and timely.
• Travel in a fully equipped service vehicle to customer sites.
• Interact with customers and ensure uptime of rental equipment.
