Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Compliance Monitor to perform field-based inspections on active construction sites and document conditions related to stormwater, wetlands, and regulatory requirements. The role requires travel to sites, strong communication, and the ability to operate independently under supervision.

You will verify permit compliance, assist with reports, and coordinate corrective actions with project teams, while supporting HSSE standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in environmental monitoring or construction inspection.
• Experience applying environmental permits, plans and regulatory requirements in the field.
• Ability to work independently, document field conditions, and escalate complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field environmental inspections on active construction sites to document compliance.
• Verify adherence to stormwater, wetlands, and other permit requirements.
• Prepare inspection notes and coordinate corrective actions with project teams.
