Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Compliance Monitor to conduct field inspections on active construction projects. This role focuses on stormwater, wetlands, and other regulated resources, ensuring compliance and documenting conditions for regulatory reporting.

The position is field-based with travel to sites, including extended assignments. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in environmental monitoring, a technical degree, and the ability to apply permits and plans in the field while

Qualifications

Technical degree or equivalent required with field experience preferred.
Minimum 2 years of environmental monitoring or construction inspection experience.
Experience on construction sites and with environmental permitting is required.

Responsibilities

Field monitoring & inspection on active sites to identify compliance issues.
Document site conditions via notes and photos using approved formats.
Verify compliance with permits, plans, and environmental requirements.
Coordinate corrective actions and report findings to leadership and contractors.
Communicate environmental requirements to project teams and field personnel.
